NTDS (33): Eight Truths from Romans Eight

If ever there were a chapter in the Bible, which proves that God loves His children, it is the eighth chapter of Romans. Paul, while explaining the doctrine of salvation by grace through faith in his letter to the Romans, presents eight truths. These truths or guarantees from God, should lead every believer to rejoice in His love, mercy and goodness. They should also bring you to a place of rest, trusting in His good plan for you. Would you please take the time now to not only read, but also meditate (contemplate thoroughly) on each of these great truths.

Rom 8:1
there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, NIV

Rom 8:11
He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Rom 8:13
if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,

Rom 8:26
the Spirit helps us in our weakness…
Rom 8:27 because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

Rom 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Rom 8:30
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

Rom 8:37
in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Rom 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If you are trusting in Christ for your salvation, every one of these promises applies to you! You never need doubt your position “in Christ.” You can always count on His great love to be there for you. You can always know, that no matter what circumstance you are facing, God has a plan to bring forth good from it. You can count on the fact that you will live in eternity with Him. Since we know that God always keeps His word, you can rest, safe and secure in His loving care.

What an amazing God we serve. I pray that you have committed your life to Him, by receiving the free gift of salvation offered to you in Jesus Christ. If you have, then you can agree with the apostle Paul when he says, “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Cor 9:15
Amen!

God bless you
